What the app will carry

The first three run on loep.ai today, sized for a phone. The fourth is planned and not built.

    Survey from the curb

    Type an address, or center the map on where you stand and tap the roof. The sheet prints price, taxes, rent, natural-hazard loss, schools and the underwriting, each figure with its source; a commercial address gets a trade-area survey.

    A ticker, read from its filings

    The report the web prints from SEC filings: revenue, margins, cash flow, and headwinds and tailwinds measured from the filings, each linked to the filing it came from. News sits in a tier of its own, labeled as the data provider’s classification. A number Loep did not read stays an em dash.

    A business, underwritten

    Paste the listing or type the figures. The analyst prices the business against a national survey, sizes the loan a lender would write, and lists what the seller has not shown.

Asked at the bench

Is the app out yet?
No. It is being built, and there is nothing to download. Loep has not published an app anywhere yet, so a listing that claims to be one is not Loep’s.
When will it be ready?
Loep gives no date until it has one it can keep. When there is one, it goes to the list by email and onto this page, in that order.
Will it cost extra?
Nothing about the app’s price has been decided. Today Loep Pro is $150 a month, every new account starts with 7 days on it with no card, and Explorer is free at daily limits. When the app’s price is decided, the pricing page prints it.
Which phones will it run on?
iPhone. The app is being built for iPhone; if that changes, this page says so.
What happens to my email address?
It goes on the list with your name if you gave one, the page the form was on, the sentence beside the box as you saw it, and a salted one-way hash of your network address, used to limit how often one connection can send the form. Loep uses it to email you about the app and nothing else, and keeps it until you ask to be removed by writing to laskowskidanny@gmail.com. The privacy note has the full list.
Is it advice?
No, on the phone as on the web. Loep reads and plots. It never tells you what to do with a house, a ticker or a business, and it does not know your situation.
